Paul Patell was one of the early settlers of Rossville, Kansas. In the 1880s he had a carpenter and wagon shop. He is pictured in RCL0030 cruising around Rossville in his boat after a flood.
The Willard bridge crosses the Kansas River, connecting Willard to Rossville, Kansas. Laverne Zlatnik believes this photo may be what remained after the 1951 flood.
The corner stone of the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church was laid by Bishop Fink on June 18, 1899. The dedication of the completed church took place on October 29, 1899.
