March 30, 1961 WSCS MEETS
The Women's Society of Christian Service held its regular meeting at the Methodist Church Thursday, March 23. The program was given by Mrs. L. P. Hartzell and Mrs. James Conley was in charge of worship. Theme of the program was giving thanks in Lent.
Those in the program were Janny Lou Campbell; Catherine Parr, Catherine Gresser, Linda Bush, Ronnie Rasch, Jeline Kelsey, Cherrie Page and Amy Jones. A selection was also played by Irene Campbell.
New officers for the coming year are as follows President, Ruth E. Larson; Vice President, Vina McCoid; Secretary, Mildred Page; Treasurer, Ruth Gresser; Children's Work, Jean Lane; Christian Social Relations, Lila Bahner; Literature Publication, Vida Whitney; Missionary Education, Bess Conley; Promotion, Pauline Conley; Spiritual Life, Thelma Wehmeier; Student Work, Irene Parr; Supply Work, Amy Meade; Youth Work, Mildred Irwin.
Hostesses for the afternoon were Helen Martinek, Greta Kelsey, Vida Whitney. Those present were Linda Barney, Lila Bahner, Mrs. Bush, Bess Conley, Pauline Conley and Patricia, Eleanor Jones, Ruth E. Larson, Amy Meade, Irene Parr, Iva Stitt, Mildred Page, Georgia Lambert, Mrs. Marion Starkey and baby, Marie Moyer, Irene Campbell, Ruth Gresser, Stella Henderson, Grace Hartzell, Mildred Irwin, Greta Kelsey, Vina McCoid, Helen Martinek and baby, Elsie Rasch, Vida Whitney, Minnis [sic Minnie] Ellis, Stella Page, Sandy and Roger Page, Mrs. Ethel Jones.

The Friendly Circle Class will meet Wednesday, May 17, at the home of Mrs. Amy Meade with a covered dish luncheon at noon. Mrs. Opal Terrill will be the assistant hostess.

The Friendly Circle Class of Rossville Methodist Church met at the home of Amy Meade for their monthly covered dish luncheon and quilting last Wednesday. The president held a short business meeting. Those present were Velda O'Donnell, Golda Cottle, Ethelyn Ferguson, Edna Bush, Grace White, Louise Wilt, Iva Stitt, Esther Mansfield, Stella Henderson, Vida Whitney. The hostesses were Amy Meade and Opal Terrill. Visitors present were Mrs. Ola Welch of Lynwood, Calif., and Mrs. Minnie Moore of Richland.

The WSCS of the Methodist Church will meet Thursday, September 28, at 1:30 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Clyde Rogers. Hostesses will be Mrs. Vina McCoid, Mrs. Edna Bush and Mrs. Golda Cottle.
American Legion Auxiliary will hold its regular meeting Wednesday, September 27, at 8:00 p.m.
