Affidavit of Death. Printed at Tribune Office, Independence, Kansas. State of Kansas, Montgomery County. SS. In the Probate Court, in and for said County. In the matter of the Estate of Robert Dalton late of said County, deceased. On this 26th day of October A.D. 1892 personally appeared to me, the undersigned Judge of said court, W.M. Dalton who being by me duly sworn, according to law, doth upon his oath depose and say that Robert Dalton died on the 5th day of October A.D. 1892 at Montgomery County, and State aforesaid, that to the best of his knowledge and belief, the name and places of residence of the heirs of the deceased are as follows, to-wit: Adaline L. Dalton mother of said deceased and that deceased died without a will, as affiant verily believes. And he further states that the deceased Robert Dalton died seized and possessed of real and personal estate consisting chiefly of $900.00 in cash, gold watch, jewelry, six shooters, Winchester rifle, saddle and bridle and diamond ring all of said estate being estimated to be worthy about one thousand dollars. Your petitioner would therefore respectfully pray that your honor will grant Letters of Administration to John Callahan. W.M. Dalton.
