A large group gathered to celebrate the new north addition to the Methodist Church

This is the west end of Silver Lake's main street

West traveling train pulling into Silver Lake. The buildings on the left would have been where the Cowboy's Western Store was and Silver Lake Library are now. The dark building in the foreground would have been where the Shear Impressions shop was.

Charles Ward, father of Irene and Frank Ward, coming in on the Lake road after delivering the mail. This was considered the "Highway" leading out of town, going south and then east. It followed the east and north edges of the Lake.

Picture taken of the First Baptist Church. The building was finished in August of 1878.

In early days, Silver Lake itself was quite large and was used for recreation- people fished, boated, picnicked and played along the banks.
